The Funded Desk, Updated 24 September 2026

Most readers arrive here on the way to paying somebody else — an evaluation fee, a monthly subscription,
margin posted against a nominal. None of that passes through this domain. The desk sells nothing, bills
nobody and has no mechanism for taking a payment, which settles most of what a privacy notice normally
has to explain before it begins. What is left to account for is one line in a server log and any message
you choose to send.

## No payment, no account, nowhere to type

There is no checkout on this site and no price attached to anything on it. No card details, no bank
details and no wallet address ever reach this desk, because no page here is built to accept one, and
an offer to sell you access to a programme covered on these pages did not come from us.

Nor is there an account system. No sign-up, no sign-in, no password, no saved preferences, no
newsletter field and no comment box. A reader arrives as a request and leaves as a request, and
between the two there is no field on any page to type a name into.

## The access log, and its thirty days

One record exists. The web server writes the standard access log that any web server writes: the
address a request came from, the time it arrived, the page asked for, the response code, the bytes
sent, the browser's user agent string and the referring page where a browser supplies one. No
identifier of ours is written into it, because none is issued.

Entries are deleted 30 days after they are written. Within those 30 days they are read to see that
pages are being served to readers and to crawlers, and to notice traffic heavy enough to threaten the
site. Nothing else is done with them: the log is not sold, not shared for marketing, not read to work
out who a reader is and not matched against any other set of records.

## Nothing is counted, tagged or embedded

No analytics runs on these pages. There is no measurement property, no tag manager and no counter, so
a visit here cannot be lined up against a visit anywhere else. No advertising script loads, and there
is no pixel, no remarketing tag and no click identifier attached to any address on the site.

No cookie is set by this domain and none is read. Every typeface, stylesheet and image is served from
this domain, so loading a page tells no other host that a page was loaded. What pays for the pages is
a commercial arrangement between this desk and the party that commissioned them, and it works from the
publishing end rather than from the reader's.

## Leaving for a firm's own site

Citations to a firm's pricing page, rule book, terms or refund policy are printed as plain addresses,
with no tracking parameter attached and no redirector of ours in between. Following one is how a
figure on these pages gets checked, which is why they are there.

What happens after the click is outside this notice entirely. A prop firm's site runs under its own
privacy policy and its own cookies, several of them run marketing and analytics of a kind this site
does not, and an account opened there is an arrangement with that firm alone.

## Writing to the desk

A message sent to desk@chroniclesofwarcraft.com arrives with the address it was sent from, and both
are kept for as long as the question stays open. Where a message produced a correction, they are kept
beside the note of what changed on which page, because a correction that cannot be traced is not worth
much.

Neither joins a mailing list, since there is none to join. To learn what is held from an exchange of
messages, to have something in it put right, or to have the whole exchange deleted, write to the same
address and name the correspondence.

This desk is paid to publish, and a programme costed on these pages may be the party underwriting it.
